Parent Shift Matching

 

This service is facilitated through a private wikispace, As soon as you become a member of KidsFIRST: 24/7 Childcare Cooperative, you will be invited to join this private wikispace, which means it can only be viewed, and edited by members. There you can enter the information necessary to find a good match, you can view what others have entered, and you can contact each other to talk over the possibilities.

 

You are invited to check each other out, trade references, and do whatever is necessary to make sure that you feel comfortable with any arrangements. It is all up to you.

 

For some, it might be practical to have your child(ren) at the same childcare provider on opposite shifts in order to avoid paying for hours of care that you don’t use, just to keep a space open for you child. For others, you might be interested in trading childcare, “you watch my kids, I’ll watch yours,” on either an occasional, or a regular basis.  As members of the Co-op you would have the ability to use the “Ace-in-the-Hole” service to give yourselves a break when you needed one.
